Firefly is headquartered in Cedar Park, TX.SUMMARYFirefly is looking for an experienced Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Media Relations to lead our dynamic corporate and product marketing efforts. As the VP of Marketing, you will lead the team to develop all marketing strategies regarding corporate branding, product competitiveness, market positioning and promotional/event execution.
RESPONSIBILITIES

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, oversee all aspects of internal and external communications, media relations, and marketing of the business.
Ensure all communication strategies and execution align with the Firefly business strategy and plan for Spacecraft and Launch divisions.
Develop a consistent internal and external brand messaging strategy that is reflective in all communications.
Communicate the corporate marketing plan to all stakeholders
Build, manage, and coach a high-performing marketing team
Serve as one of the primary points of contact for media; oversee the coordination of interview requests and interview preparation for senior executives.
Comprehensive competitor research and assessment
Coordinate with the Business Development leads to ensure the go-to market and sales strategy is results driven
Build brand awareness and positioning across government and commercial sectors
Lead the strategy for company conferences, trade shows, and major events
Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing

QUALIFICATIONSRequired

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or communication with a minimum of 15 years of proven experience in successfully leading diverse marketing campaigns.
7 years of leadership/management experience, including experience working directly with senior executives.
Strong collaboration, communication, time management and organizational skills; proven ability to multi-task and manage projects on strict deadlines.
Executive presence and comfort in interactions with senior-level management, ownership and critical external stakeholders (media, etc.).
Proven ability to manage budgets
Demonstrated ability to make sound business judgments in a complex, fast paced environment.
Professional and proactive work ethic
High competence in project and stakeholder management
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook
