Duties and Responsibilities:
Travelling to multiple job sites per day.
Interface with customers, marketers, and city planners.
Conduct physical site surveys using a variety of equipment and tools.
Prepare sketches and notes, and perform electronic data collection.
Measure all items and areas that are notated on supplied work order.
Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
Research previous survey evidence, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.
Prepare site surveying documents and present findings to team.
Take pictures of all aspects of the job site as instructed.
Fill out survey form completely and accurately.
Report any abnormalities that should be considered in order to complete scope of work listed (i.e., the sign is on a hill or it is 10 ft. set back from bucket access).
Upload all pictures into electronic file folder system.
Represent, serve as a link between individuals or groups.
Work independently with little direction.
Easily and quickly responding to changing assignments, work settings and priorities.
Analyzing and solving problems logically.
Drawing out subjects through incisive questioning.
Keeping accurate and up-to-date records.
Logging, recording, itemizing, collating, and tabulating data.
Coordinating events and handling logistics.
Drive large vehicles for extended periods of time.
Operate bucket trucks, lifts, booms and cranes.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
Customer service skills.
Understanding and comprehension of written documents.
Aptitude for applying mathematical principles to solve problems is necessary.
Great attention to detail.
Speaking skills to communicate information to members of your team and your clients.
Time management.
Ability to develop, organize and complete tasks and projects using software programs such as Word and Excel.
Great organization and leadership skills.
Ability to prioritize, structure, and schedule tasks to maximize effort and meet deadlines.
Ability to compose reports, letters, articles, ads, stories, or educational materials, such as scope of work summary and city requirements.
Must have valid CA Driver’s License.
Physically fit and capable to perform labor type work.
Positive attitude and a willingness to get the job done.
Assisting in another department as needed.
Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, talk, hear and repeat motions.
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
The worker is required to have visual discernment to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, general laborer, etc.) or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection, etc.)
The worker is subject to both environmental conditions. Activities occur inside and outside.
The worker is subject to extreme heat. Temperatures above 100 for periods of more than one hour. Consideration should be given to the effect of other environmental conditions, such as wind and humidity.
The worker is subject to noise. There is sufficient noise to cause the worker to shout in order to be heard above ambient noise level.
The worker is subject to hazards. Includes a variety of physical conditions, such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to chemicals.
The worker is subject to atmospheric conditions. One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
