Job Description :
We are seeking a Surgery Scheduling Assistant in our Tyler office.
Job Duties Include:
Extraordinary Customer Service and Team Member Relations – REQUIRED
Perform Clerical functions of surgery scheduling to support Surgery Counselor. Complete required forms, fax forms to providers and facilities, task insurance authorization request, make pre-op reminder phone calls, collect payment, initiate medical clearance paperwork
Perform front desk check – in/check-out duties, schedule appointments
Accurately enter information into schedule template, schedule pre-op appointments
Answer phones
Collect Payments
Verify patient insurance coverage
Ensure lobby and hospitality area are clean and well stocked. Open and close office each day.
Qualifications:
Extraordinary Customer Service and Team Member Relations – REQUIRED!*
1 year of medical office experience and general knowledge of insurance
Willingness to grow
Driven, responsible, take ownership of the position
Professional appearance
Computer skills
Must be able to type 20 wpm
Dependable
Excellent phone skills

Organizational skills
Attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
