Caltrol is Hiring a Systems Solutions Architect in Livermore, CA!

Caltrol, Inc is looking for a full-time Solutions Architect to join our Automation Solutions Group and serve as the point person during project sales pursuits involving control systems, asset optimization products and solution services to effectively generate profit for Caltrol and our customers. Our ideal candidate is customer-focused with previous sales experience and a background in process controls and instrumentation.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical sales specialist that is a subject matter expert on Emerson Process System and Solution offerings and applications
Collaborate with Account Managers or independently to develop solutions to customers objectives using the Solutions Selling Process
Design, develop, configure, and implement a control strategy from inputs such as P&ID instrument drawings, design specifications, or bid packages
Work with team members to develop proposals and team-oriented sales strategies
Oversees on-site systems installations
Responsible to lead and collaborate on sales and technical strategy for items including: subcontracts, bill of materials, procurement, fabrication, configuration, site installation, commissioning, and startup.
Role is responsible for all process industries in territory (Life Science, O&G, EPC, F&B, CPG, chemical, refining, W/WW, and more)

Ability to handle special assignments and schedule demanding workload requirements to meet customer deadlines.
Take classes and pass exams required to achieve and maintain Emerson certifications as determined by management
Occasional heavy lifting of up to 30 pounds maybe required

Education/Experience:

4-year degree in Engineering or extensive industry experience
5+ years experience in process control sales, systems design, and configuration of control strategy
Travel to customer sites throughout territory
Previous experience with Emerson technologies
In-depth knowledge of final control and measurement devices (pressure, flow, temperature, valves, and valve actuation)

Travel:
Frequent travel to customer sites throughout Caltrol’s territory. Occasional travel to Caltrol branch offices, and other representative and factory sites as required including occasional overnights.
