SAP Materials SpecialistJob Description

Promptly update MDS/SAP fields at the material number level including, but not limited to, costs, descriptions, and purchasing information
Create new material numbers in MDS/SAP
Work closely with employees in Product Management, Supplier Management, Supply Chain, and the Sales organization on changes to MDS/SAP data required to conduct business
Provide feedback to the business on data trends around team activity
Research errors in MDS/SAP material number data to determine the root cause and best solution
Execute batch jobs to update a large number of material numbers at one time
Use various tools and queries to run data integrity checks to ensure that MDS/SAP data points are valid
Other duties as assigned.

Location: Fort Worth, TXRemote/Office Location/Hybrid: RemoteEmployment Type: Full TimeWorking hours/pattern (optional): M-F / 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
About the roleThis role provides general support to various departments at Allied, including the Sales and Product Management teams, to provide timely and accurate action on updating SAP data at the material number level. This individual must project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction and be able to flourish in an environment where multi-tasking is an essential skill.
What we’re looking for

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2 years’ related experience in a similar function
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word)
Multitasking
Strong oral and written communication skills
Knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office is preferred, but not required
