About the Position:
Responsible for ensuring proper inventory flow in support of customer requirements. This position requires strong performance in a team and will work hand-in-hand with other purchasing agents and assist in managing the supply chain for multiple branches and product lines. This individual will be highly analytical with the ability to synthesize data and make sound recommendations to other purchasing agents and the Director of Purchasing and Inventory.

Purchase and transfer products to optimize inventory turns and inventory levels by location, while supporting the salesforce
Optimizes the use of freight, direct ship, and other shipping opportunities to reduce shipping costs
Assists with daily shipment report communication
Transfer product to fill customer orders & optimize stock levels
Assists with tracking orders and ensuring timely delivery
Assists with keeping equipment model numbers and stocking information updated in ERP system
Perform independent analysis of stocking levels and demand projection
Assist with Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
Other duties, responsibilities, and activities may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications, Attributes, Education and/or Experience:

Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year university
Possess strong attention to detail and analytical abilities
Known for developing and delivering results on a timely basis
Able to work in a dynamic, team-first environment
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
Must be comfortable working as both an individual and part of a team.
Strong Communication Skills

Computer Skills:

Excellent computer, written skills including high proficiency in the use of MS Office with emphasis on Excel and Power point.
