Job Description
We are currently searching for an experienced Planning Manager in our Planning and Forecasting department. Through expert strategic direction, coaching and development, you will manage a dedicated team of Planners. In this position, you will oversee the day-to-day processes and initiatives of your team and use your exceptional people management skills to achieve teamwide results. Proactive and resourceful, you must possess an ability to work in partnership with your fellow Planning Managers in the department. We value a team approach—so the ability to work collaboratively is essential. Successful candidates will have experience in planning and forecasting as well as buying finished goods and possess a solid knowledge of replenishment software. A background in furniture and import purchasing is desired.
This role is considered hybrid with the expectation to come on-site at our Carson, CA headquarters.
A day in the office looks like this:

Managing direct reports through hands-on coaching, training and performance management
Collaborating with other Planning Managers to ensure consistency of expectations
Leading and executing the forecasting and purchasing of finished products from domestic and import vendors for multichannel distribution
Analyzing historical data, statistical information and sales reports in order to trend future replenishment needs
Working collaboratively with cross-functional teams on new item launches, product revisions and end-of-life scenarios
Minimizing overstock while maintaining a best-in-class fill rate
Managing daily/weekly replenishment to stores
Monitoring KPIs to maximize efficiency and fill rate for our customers

Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

Minimum of 7 years of planning and forecasting experience in multichannel distribution (or bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain)
At least 3 years of leadership experience
Furniture planning and forecasting experience is desired
Strong supervisory and leadership skills with the ability to effectively train others
Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
Clear verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Strong math and analytical skills
Proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
A strong sense of urgency and impeccable follow-through
Ability to prioritize while juggling many tasks in a fast-paced setting
A team orientation and the ability to work independently
Knowledge of replenishment software
A long-term perspective on career development and desire to grow professionally within the company
