Job Description :
Muir Orthopaedic Specialists is a large, privately owned Orthopedics practice in the East Bay. This position is located at our Walnut Creek office. We are looking for someone to join our Patient Contact Center Representatives who serve as a first point of contact for our patients.

Job responsibilities for a Patient Contact Center Representative include:

Taking high volume inbound calls from patients regarding inquiries or appointments
Accurately screening and routing patient calls to appropriate departments
Enter, review, and update patient demographics and insurance information as provided
Take and distribute grammatically correct, accurate, and legible messages
Counsel patients regarding appropriate and necessary information to bring to appointment (e.g. referral or x-ray) or directions to clinic

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in a Medical Office setting
Understanding of Medical Terminology and Basic Anatomy
High School Diploma or equivalent
EHR/EMR experience, NextGen preferred
Excellent communication and customer service skills
