Montecito Bank & Trust is seeking a full-time Operations Officer II to join the La Cumbre branch. The Operations Officer II will deliver a World Class Experience by a motivated individual who will support the Branch Manager with all aspects of individual branch operations, while ensuring all Bank policies, procedures and customer service levels are met. The Operations Officer II is expected to use sound business judgement and critical-thinking skills to make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
*Minimum Requirements, Activities & Responsibilities*Education and Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
Minimum of three years up to five years of retail branch experience required; platform experience preferred
Minimum of two years up to three years of supervisory experience required

Essential Functions:

Reviews prescribed reports of daily transactions for accuracy;
Completes all branch certifications in a timely manner;
Ensures all associates complete required training;
Reviews all escalated customer transactions;
Monitors and maintains branch cash levels;
Serves as first line escalation point to address and resolve routine and/or difficult customer grievances;
Serves on the platform or teller line as determined by customer demand;
Remains current on new products, services and procedures;
In the absence of the Branch Manager, assumes overall responsibility and accountability for branch’s adherence to sales, service and operations;
Other duties as assigned

Skills and Capabilities:

Thorough knowledge of bank operations, security policies, practices and procedures
Knowledge of bank retail and consumer loan products
Must be detail oriented
Demonstrated ability to make good business decisions
Ability to make referrals to sales platform
Proficient in cash handling and platform duties

Strong knowledge of standard computer applications including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Must be able to work effectively either independently or as part of a team
Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities
Must be able to demonstrate highest levels of customer service and confidentiality with internal and external customers
Must be detail oriented
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and customer service skills
Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, interpret documents, understand procedures, write reports and correspondence, speak clearly to customers and employees
Ability to answer phones professionally and relate to people in an open, friendly, and accepting manner
Ability to have in-depth dialogues and explanations with customers that can be of sensitive and confidential nature. Communications may involve educating and advising customers on matters of significance.
