La Jolla Logic has an immediate need for a JR-Mid Level Cyber Project Lead/Manager to support the US Space Force Delta 6 organization in the implementation of the Cyber Roadmap Execution Plan across individual Cyberspace Operations Squadrons supporting each assigned Mission Delta.
Salary range: $110k-125k

This position is ideal for individuals with technical experience in DoD Cyberspace Operations that are looking to advance their career as a Project Lead/Manager, leveraging their understanding of DoD and/or Space Force organizational structure and Cybersecurity policy and governance implementation to drive change within the USSF Deltas
The role directly contributes to the establishment of the USSF Cyberspace Squadrons and ensuring each has the resources required to understand their mission, defended assets, operational concepts enabling DCO, organizational structure, and future planning considerations/requirements for robust operations.
To be successful:
This position requires the individual to be on-site at Vandenberg Space Force Base and be embedded with the assigned squadron. It is ideal for the technically capable Defensive Cyber Operations candidates desiring leadership roles to apply that can impact the organizational architecture and operations of how the Space Force will operate for the next 20 years!
Responsibilities:
Provide on-site, embedded Cyber Operations/Warfighting advisory support to USSF Gov’t leads for the assigned Vandenberg location
Provide expertise in applying Defensive Cyber Ops (DCO) capabilities to USSF systems, while considering the challenges/mitigations in negotiating ‘bolt-on’ DCO capabilities with USSF mission system program offices
Provide expertise in developing TTPs/Policies/Operational Reporting/Authorities documentation
Provide on-site implementation support as defined by the Cyber Roadmap Execution Plan
Manage the implementation and monitoring of security measures for communication systems, networks, and provide advice that systems and personnel adhere to established security standards and Gov’t requirements for systems security
Guide the development and execution of Gov’t approves security policies, plans, and procedures to include; data network security measures; network and host intrusion detection monitoring and forensic systems
Apply strategic and long-term analysis to meet client-needs
Interface with squadron leadership on defensive and/or offensive cyberspace operations (DCO/OCO) capabilities and their employment
Provide advisory support by guiding, demonstrating, instructing, performing activities toward Organizational Change and advise on requirements to build squadron-level units from scratch (turn-key), considering the following:
Physical space requirements (basing actions, SCIFs, GSA lease options, MILCONs)
Manpower (OCRs, UMDs, Manpower Studies)
Finance, Unit-level programs, Training, Accessions, Heraldry, Agreements (HTSA, MOUs/MOAs, etc.), and all other functions/initiatives to build a turn-key squadron
Key activity areas include: Cyber transformation implementation, Enterprise Cyberspace Operations architecture, Negotiation, Change management, Strategic communication execution.
Requirements:
5+ years’ experience in a cyber in the military and/or DoD or cyber/technology industry
3+ years’ experience cyberspace operations (DCO/OCO) within DoD SOC/NOC (preferably in an Air Operations Center) or equivalent
Understand DoD cyberspace operations requirements and policies to ensure Information Systems (IS) data availability, integrity, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation.
Experience in Cyber Protection Teams and/or Network Operations Center
Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate directly with Senior Govt / DoD leadership across various levels about cyber operations, vulnerabilities, and mitigation plans.
Active TS/SCI clearance is required for access to classified systems
U.S. Citizenship is required
