Job Description :
Job Summary / Purpose
Golden Pass LNG, a joint venture between ExxonMobil and QatarEnergy, has the vision to be the premier LNG export company in North America.
The Manufacturing IT applications lead is a key member of the IT team. This role will interact with the Commercial, Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing teams, with responsibility for all the portfolio of applications being used by the Operations and Maintenance teams.
Essential Duties / Functions

Collaborate with Business users to understand functional requirements and provide direction to vendors to architect, design, develop, test, and release features
Define technical evaluation criteria for product and technology selection and determine technical approaches to ensure solutions result in a coherent systems design
Implement and maintain the IT applications used by the operations, and Maintenance departments
Develop custom reports, forms, workflows, data queries to meet end user expectations
Provide support for handheld devices used by the Operations and Maintenance departments
Provide input into the change control board for release upgrades
Maintain support documentation for the assigned IT solutions
Manage software vendors and managed service providers to ensure they provide needed support to end users and they meet the defined SLAs
Create and run custom ad-hoc queries to extract data from applications to support business users
Document As-Is work processes and provide recommendations for process improvements
Lead continuous improvement work efforts

Minimum Requirements
Minimum education required of the position

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Minimum experience required of the position

Strong understanding of the Plant Operations, Maintenance operations in a process industry (chemicals, refinery, LNG)
Experience in developing and supporting IT solutions used by Plant Operations and Maintenance teams (ex: Operator Rounds, Shift Logbook, Shift Handover, Control of Work, Management of Change, Prometheus etc.)
Experience in leading digital implementation of paper-based work processes in a plant setting
Hands-on experience in working with MS SQL server, writing, and updating queries
Hands-on experience in any programming language with minimum proficiency to be able to step through and debug code to identify root cause issues (Java, Python, C# etc.)
Experience working in Azure platforms and with SaaS vendors
Experience in managing and providing direction to vendor teams
Minimum 5 years of experience with diverse business, and information technology experience
Proven ability to oversee and support portfolio of IT systems
Experience working in a greenfield company is a plus
Recent LNG, Refining, Chemicals, Paper industry experience is a plus

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

Proven track record of leading direct reports, consultants, and virtual teams to manage multiple concurrent projects, operations, and budgets

Required job competencies of the position

Strong understanding of the Operations and Maintenance work processes
Ability to earn trust and alignment with stakeholders
Excellent communication skills
Ability to learn and become a subject matter expert in operations and maintenance application portfolio
Collect client requests and data
Ability to analyze and troubleshoot basic issues and provide support for application portfolio.
Create tickets for Level 2 support.

Normal office environment with occasional visits to terminal and pipeline facilities

Physical Requirements

Possible climbing, moving, and walking long distances, wearing fire-retardant clothing, hard hat, and goggles when visiting Terminal or Pipelines
