Job Summary
The Field Coordinator is a key position within our Maintenance group at the Houston Operations facility. The successful candidate will work within the Maintenance Work Flow, provide a focal point for contractor coordination related resident maintenance craft and 3rd party vendors.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Performs in-direct supervision and coordination resident Maintenance craft and Third Party (non-resident) contractors including safety, work assignment, work quality, work completion, and materials management. Oversees progress with Work order (WO) assignments throughout the day
Obtain material and outside service requirements and closes Work Orders (WOs) when complete.
Provide necessary planning for priority E and priority 1 jobs and securing the required parts for execution. Planning priority 1’s so they can be scheduled.
This will alleviate planners and supervisors from daily interruptions
Responsible for developing and executing small projects and outages.
Facilitates bid reviews and evaluating bids for contract bids.
This responsibility includes scope development; planning, budgeting, cost tracking, scheduling, execution, reporting and project close out.
The support groups such as Material Management and Material Inventory will have a single point contact to efficiently resolve material issues
Skills for this position are same as a maintenance planner / field coordinator.
Acting as point contact for maintenance in the tracking of critical expedited parts.
Assure the contractor understands his/her responsibilities per the contract scope of work.
Communicate to the contractor concerning any chemical or other hazards associated with the work, worksite, or adjacent areas that may not be readily apparent.
Advise the contractor of procedures to be followed should the plant emergency alarm be sounded. Provide a list of fire alarm signals and point out gathering points nearest the contractor’s area of work.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Petrochemical/Refining Industry Maintenance or Construction which includes experience in planning/scheduling maintenance or construction activities, reading construction drawings and generating construction sketches and management experience
Preferred Qualifications
Planning/scheduling maintenance or construction activities for a Petrochemical/Refining facility
Problem solving, communication, organization, and general computer skills are a must.
Proficiency in Maximo, Oracle EAM Module and a Maintenance Scheduling Tool is a plus.
