This position is full – time. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. We offer 2 weeks of training. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.
All Telecommuters will be required to adhere to UnitedHealth Group’s Telecommuter Policy.
Providing expertise or general claims support to teams in reviewing, researching, investigating, negotiating, processing, and adjudicating Long Term Disability claims.
Authorizes the appropriate payment or refers claims to Team Lead or Manager for validation of adverse or over limit approvals
You’ll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
1+ years of experience with reviewing and rendering initial liability determinations on Long Term Disability Claims
Microsoft Word (ability to create, modify, and send documents)
Microsoft Excel (ability to create, modify, and send spreadsheets)
Ability to work any 8-hour shift between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada or New York City Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $45,100 – $80,200. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada / New York City residents is $49,800 – $88,200.
