INSTRUCTIONAL SPECIALIST

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
At Phalen Leadership Academies, as our Instructional Specialist, you will work with your assigned school(s) to provide instructional support and oversight. PLA Instructional Specialists will work with our teachers, both one-on-one and in small groups, to provide guidance, professional development, support, and resources as needed. You will be expected to understand student data and use that data to have informed conversations with school leaders and teachers. You will also be responsible for necessary professional development, while leveraging PLA’s online Learning Institute.
Location: Beaumont, TX
DO YOU HAVE:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree, preferred
Valid state teaching license, required; Administrator and/or Principal License, preferred
3+ years previous experience in an academic coaching role
High proficiency of grade-level standards, benchmarks, and curriculum
Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
