Job Description :
Title: Instructional Designer
Location: North Houston/Spring
Duration: 6+ months with possible hire

Growing Logistics company located North Houston is looking for 2 Instructional Designers to add to their team!

Scope includes:
Responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating e-learning, web-based, classroom-based (live & virtual), case studies, structured on-the-job training, blended learning, and social learning technologies and solutions for the marine ship and offshore industry. Will work closely with technical and multimedia staff to produce interactive learning deliverables.

Responsibilities:

Work closely with internal teams to design/develop training projects and communications
Design learning solutions using instructional design processes, theory and best practices (ISD, ADDIE, 6D, SAT)
Serve as the Project Manager for learning deliverables and maintain project schedules, meeting minutes and action plans
Spearhead training need analyses and architect sessions to determine learning requirements and desired outcomes
Interface closely with Content Managers, Engineering, Surveyors and other Subject Matter Experts
Observe/validate training during pilot and “go live” sessions
Develop and conduct lesson, course and program assessments and evaluation tools
Build relationships and rapport with consultants and external vendors to obtain objectives and deliver results

Targeting candidates with:

5+ years of experience in a similar role and environment
Bachelor’s in Instructional Systems Technology, Instructional Design/Education or related field. Master’s degree +
Strong people skills, great communication and ability to build rapport and “buy in” quickly
Strong problem solving ability and business acumen is crucial. Comfortable working independently as well as on a team
Possesses a thorough understanding of the process of building e-Learning courseware including creative concepts, scripts and storyboards. Demonstrated use of Articulate Storyline.
Excellent writing skills and use of creative message design principles (i.e., use of language, grammar, spelling, and organizing content) to achieve desired outcomes.
Knowledge of creating, designing and editing graphics and media content with tools like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Flash a huge plus!
Position reports to Manager of Instructional Design
Offering $50-57/hr depending on experience
