Job Description :
Cheremoya Avenue Elementary is a small learning community in Hollywood dedicated to providing all students with an educational experience that supports both social-emotional development and academic learning. We are seeking an exceptional candidate who will assist teachers or other certificated personnel in preparation for, carrying out, and following up on academic instruction to individual or small groups of students as assigned.

Duties will include:

Assisting teachers, school administrators and staff with maintaining control of assigned classes to ensure a suitable learning environment in all settings including the classroom, during distance learning, and on school grounds.
Instructional Aide (IA) may be assigned limited responsibility to teach specific subject matter, in which the IA has special skills or training, to a small group of students, under the teacher’s supervision.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Paraprofessionals who provide instructional assistance are required to pass the District Proficiency Test and possess a high school diploma or equivalent and one of the following:
Completion of 60-semester units or 90 quarter units from a recognized college or university;

OR

Possession of an associate or higher degree, from a recognized college or university;

OR

Receipt of a passing score on the Instructional Assistance Test.
