Job Description

Lakeshore’s People Team is growing, and we are currently searching for a dynamic HR Business Partner to align business objectives with our employees and management in designated business units. Reporting to our Director of HR, you will create partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflects our business objectives. A day on the job looks like this:
Consulting with business management, providing HR guidance when appropriate
Working closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
Managing and resolving complex employee relations issues; conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations
Providing day-to-day performance management guidance to business management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
Building and engaging in talent reviews and performance management process to ensure internal talent is developed effectively, and that gaps are appropriately identified and addressed
Participating in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success; following up to ensure training objectives are met
Leveraging workforce analytics to execute HR dashboards, ad hoc reports and employee engagement surveys to identify HR trends
Providing guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, organizational design and succession planning
Integrating and partnering with COEs in the Talent Acquisition, Learning & Development, HR Operations, Legal & Compliance, and Benefit teams to implement solutions to support business scale and expansion
Establishing compensation strategy based on internal and external market research to incorporate into the business
Providing HR policy guidance and interpretation
Maintaining knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring compliance; partnering with the legal department and internal
Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:
2+ years of Human Resources Business Partner experience
3+ years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
Project management and change management experience
Working knowledge of multiple human resources disciplines, including employee relations, diversity, performance management, talent reviews, and federal and state respective employment laws
Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization’s hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices and the administrative practices related to those factors
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential preferred
