Job Description :
*** This is an exciting role for an individual looking to not only continue warehouse experience but gain experience in the set up of a brand new warehouse. This will be the first team member of the new warehouse with direct partnership with the Warehouse Supervisor, Plant Manager, and Director of Operations. Will also include the ability to be cross trained to learn production to grow career. ***
Summary and Objective:
As a member of the Warehouse Team, a Warehouse Laborer is responsible for performing all warehouse processes while following safety, quality, and efficiency standards. The Warehouse Laborer is responsible for operating a forklift, pallet jack, and other various warehouse equipment to complete shipping operations, verifying content for shipping, receiving packages, following/improving shipping procedures, and ensuring timely, accurate shipping and distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Regular loading, unloading, and movement of materials as well as wrapping stock pallets and building loads for forklifts.
Regularly inspecting inventory for damage and faults and communicating errors to relevant parties.
Tag and label products accordingly.
Pick and pack online orders.
Maintaining daily workflow and completion of assignments to meet production output of daily, weekly, and monthly goals, to ensure that internal and external customer needs are met.
Maintains knowledge of processes and equipment while complying with applicable safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
Ensures proper scanning, paperwork and other documentation is completed and signed correctly.
Follows all proper safety protocol for forklift operations including lock-out / tag-out.
Maintains a safe and clean work environment while ensuring quality, quantity, and customer satisfaction.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other Personal Characteristics:

Experience working in a production or warehouse environment, food production preferred
Must be detail oriented, able to multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects/tasks.
Ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively
Must be able to demonstrate an understanding of Food safety and sanitation protocols and procedures
Ability to work under pressure and desire for a fast-paced environment
Ability and willingness to work in a team environment as well as with limited supervision
Commitment to complete work within established time parameters
As needed, must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays as required in emergencies and all other times as needed or assigned.

Desired but not Required:

Food manufacturing processing experience a plus
Bilingual – Spanish/English is a plus.

Follow the proper hand-washing, sanitization, cleanliness, dress and grooming requirements.
Adhere to SQF, FSMA, Sanitation, GMP’s and HACCP requirements.
Follow the Company’s procedures and processes for food safety and worker safety.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will regularly work within a warehouse environment. The work requires the ability to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, and talk and listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 30 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud in warehouse.
Work Location / Travel:
The position is based FT in assigned warehouse with ability to also work in production plant.
