Basic Purpose

The Enterprise Data Governance Technical Product Owner will be part of the data governance space within Navy Federal Credit Union, supporting a wide spectrum of technical data governance capabilities across enterprise tools enabling data cataloging, technical metadata ingestion, data ownership, lineage capture, privacy classification, data quality measurement, data quality and remediation processes. Partner closely with Navy Federal Credit Union ISD teams to ensure that supporting technology are aligned to Data Governance strategies and objectives. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with Credit Union Data Privacy, Information Security, Legal and Risk Management teams, ensuring that all supporting Enterprise Data Governance technology remains aligned to Enterprise Data Governance stakeholders. Support the community of Enterprise Data Stewards, partnering with Enterprise Data Steward Leadership, eliciting and distilling new technical requirements from the Data Steward Community while supporting the roll out of new features and functionality.

Responsibilities

Own the technical backlog related to implementation of new and enabling technologies in support of Enterprise Data Governance
Support the Enterprise Data Steward Community of Practice, ensuing that new technical capabilities are effectively rolled out across all supported business units while proactively working to understand new and emerging requiremnets
Establish and facilitate relationship with supported internal Data Stewards, Technical Data Stewards and Business Data Owners
Work supporting IT teams to ensure business requirements and solution capabilities are effectively matched and implemented in support of the Enterprise Data Governance strategy
Develop spirit of teamwork and collaboration with clear lines of accountability for key decisionsto include haring regular feedback and follow up with business partners
Understands the variety of business unit strategies across the Credit Union, helping clarify those objectives for the technical and supporting IT teams
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Previous experience as Technical Product or Product Manager in Financial Services sector
Experience with Data Governance tools such as Big ID, Varonis, Purview, etc.
Extensive experience in cross-functional areas and leading cross-functional organizational programs
Proven experience in working with diverse teams
Understanding of and experience with Agile methodology required
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to build relationships and align stakeholders with competing interests
Passion for developing talent by growing engaged, inclusive and diverse teams

Desired Qualifications and Education Requirements

SAFe certification strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of Navy Federal’s functions, philosophy, operations and organizational objectives

Navy Federal is now hybrid! Our standard enterprise requirement for a hybrid schedule is to report on-site 4-16 days each month. The number of days reporting on-site will ultimately be determined by the employee’s leadership and business unit needs. You will learn more throughout the hiring and on boarding process.

Salary Range: $95,600 – $163,500 annually

Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position.
