This outstanding health system in South Texas is actively interviewing for a Director to lead the Radiology Oncology Service Line. Apply today, and lead a team of dedicated and accomplished medical professionals in a busy and growing Service Line.
The Radiation Oncology Director will lead clinical and administrative operations for both inpatient and outpatient Radiology and Imaging Services through rapid growth and expansion. With an award winning 300+ bed hospital, multiple community access hospitals, and a large clinic network, this Regional Health System has earned both local and national accolades for excellent stroke care, having and accredited chest pain center, and as a receiving center for wide array of trauma cases.
Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer (COO), the Radiology Oncology Director will lead a large and busy department. Supported by an Inpatient ARRT Clinical Director of Imaging, three outpatient Service Line Managers specializing in different modalities, as well as a Radiology Operations Manager and Financial Analyst, the Director will take the helm of a quickly growing Service Line.
The ideal candidate will have experience not only leading Operations for Radiation Oncology and Imaging Services, but also with expanding service lines and adding new locations. This Director doesn’t necessarily need to have a clinical ARRT background, though this is a perfect role for a strong and articulate leader with a background in:

Growing patient volumes in outpatient / ambulatory Radiology & Imaging centers
Integrating Radiation Oncology and Medical Imaging Services between inpatient and ambulatory modalities
Managing multiple facilities / locations at a Regional Leadership level
Leading the business-side processes involved in Ambulatory center administration, financial planning, budget setting, and reporting

This role will be largely Strategic and Administrative in nature, so progressive leadership and management experience in Radiology, Imaging, and Ancillary Service Lines will be one sign of a great contender. This person will develop and control budgets for each cost center, and will enlist their reports to support those initiatives. The Radiation Oncology Director will also serve as a process and quality improvement agent for Medical Imaging and Radiology throughout the region, improving patient satisfaction, reducing Door-to-Doc times, and making this a great place for the employees to work.
