Duties
Ensures security of all guests is maintained at all times.
Ensures guest privacy is maintained at all times.
Must possess a welcoming manner and positive attitude; demonstrate effective communication skills; professionally interact with guests; answering guest questions concerning hotel facilities; and provide information about local attractions.
Provide assistance in handling customer complaints, involving management as necessary.
Performs custodial duties as required inside and outside of buildings including; but not limited to, trash/garbage removal, sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, washing walls/windows, and sanitizing bathrooms/kitchens. Cleans all lobbies, passageways, stairwells, laundry rooms, public restrooms, and other common use areas in and around buildings.
Loads, unloads, and relocates heavy, bulky items such as furniture, supplies, and linen (clean and dirty) by hand or using carts, dollies, hand trucks, golf carts, or similar lifting/carrying devices.
The desired applicant performs one of more of the following duties: scrubs, strips, waxes, and polishes floors using heavy (industrial-type) powered scrubbers and buffers.
Vacuum cleans rugs using heavy (industrial-type) vacuum cleaner.
Adjusts, cleans, and oils these machines, and changes light bulbs and washes ceiling fixtures and room partitions, using ladders and scaffolds. Moves heavy furniture, supplies and equipment.
In living quarters, makes beds, changes linens and collects soiled linen.
Keeps restrooms in clean, orderly and sanitary condition.
Cleans, disinfects, and deodorized lavatories, urinals, and toilet bowls.
Cleans mirrors, sinks and water fountains.
Dusts ledges and woodwork.
Replaces deodorizers, toilet tissues, hand towels, and soap.
Maintains a stock of cleaning materials and equipment and notifies supervisor when more are needed.
Cleans showers, sauna, and steam room.
Requirements
Conditions of Employment
Must meet Federal Employment suitability requirements and successful completion of background investigation. Background Investigations are conducted using fingerprint identification and completion of background inquiry forms.
Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
A valid State driver’s license is required to operate motor vehicles
Must have your salary sent to a financial institution of your choice by Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer
Qualifications
Able to apply general knowledge of cleaning procedures and proper use of cleaning equipment and approved, commonly used chemicals (including MSDS) and adherence to basic safety policies is required.
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively in English both verbally and in writing with management, staff, and guests.
This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, walking, pushing, pulling, climbing, and a variety of repetitive motions.
Must have ability to perform moderately strenuous physical labor as unassisted lifting, moving and carrying of supplies and equipment weighing up to 45 pounds is required.
Assisted lifting, moving and carrying up to 100 pounds may be required.
May be required to climb/descend stairs and properly placed stepladders
Education
High school diploma or equivalent unit.
