Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

Performs field and laboratory tests relating to hot mix asphalt, aggregate materials, and concrete.
Uses lab instruments to determine pavement compositions.
Performs material sampling of asphalt hot mix, aggregates and concrete.
Conducts material testing using TXDOT quality control guidelines.
Reviews plans to ensure compliance with testing specifications.
Work will be within a field laboratory in at the Sullivan City, Texas plant.

Job Required Skills and Qualifications:

1-year minimum construction materials testing experience.
Currently hold Level 1A, AGG101 Certification or able to obtain one within 90 days of hire or as scheduled.
High School Diploma or GED.
Motivated and self-directed individual with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to read plans/specifications highly preferred.
Precision in work and attention to detail.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Must be able to effectively plan, organize and prioritize work activities.
Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Valid driver’s license in good standing. Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
