Requirements for a Coax Splicer:

2 years of verifiable experience splicing coaxial cable.
Pass a MVR, background test and drug test.

Tasks Required for a Coax Splicer:

Splicing and activation which includes setting up and balancing electronics to specifications.
Knowledge of aerial and underground cable plant.
Complete daily company forms in a timely manner as necessary.
Adhere to proper safety guidelines and procedures.

Knowledge Required for a Coax Splicer:

Telecommunications — Knowledge of CATV systems for telecommunications.
Safety — Knowledge of keeping work area safe in compliance with applicable construction safety guidelines.
Mechanical — Knowledge of all tools and equipment necessary to conduct business as a Coaxial Splicer.
