Job Summary Capital Assets Supervisor is responsible for overseeing accounting functions related to capital assets, including leases and subscription-based information technology transactions, in order to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for Harris Health System’s (the System) infrastructure in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). Minimum Qualifications Degrees: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance Master’s Degree or MBA In Accounting or Finance, preferred Licensure & Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), preferred Work Experience: Six (6) Years Work Experience in the financial area; healthcare experience preferred Management Experience: Three (3) Years of Management Experience-Accounting management/supervisory experience Communication Skills: Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact), Writing/Correspondence, Writing/Reports Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, Peoplesoft, Personal Computer Job Attributes Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Analytical, Mathematics, Statistical, Medical Terms Work Schedule: Flexible, Eligible for Telecommute Other Requirements: Possesses an advanced knowledge and understanding of capital assets, lease accounting, and other capital asset accounting. Possesses an advanced knowledge and understanding, with progressive development, of financial statements and relationships, analytical techniques, operations, GAAP, and accounting practices and procedures Ability to analyze and evaluate data and draw meaningful conclusions
