Job Description
In a time of unprecedented expansion, we are seeking a Business Development Specialist to support our Bid team in reaching untapped markets by conducting research and identifying opportunities for company growth and market expansion. In this role, you will conduct independent research to understand sources of funding and procurement habits that may or may not be restricted by a competitive bidding process. You will compile reports on trends and areas of opportunity for the Bid team, in addition to working closely with leadership to provide valuable findings for executive management. The ideal candidate is comfortable deep-diving into data and publicly available information with no set roadmap and possesses strong analytical skills. A day in the office looks like this:

Identifying untapped markets and conducting independent research
Compiling reports for the Bid team and for executive management
Reviewing marketing leads and sales opportunities, as applicable
Conducting project-based research as needed
Collaborating with the Bid and Business Development teams to secure potential new business

Qualifications
Got the skills and experience? Here’s what we’re looking for:

Experience in a related position preferred
Ability to keep track of trends and changes in funding streams
Comfort working with CRM platforms, such as Salesforce
Ability to turn research into a narrative and communicate it effectively
Superior organizational skills
Ability to flourish with minimal guidance and be proactive
