Description:
Biomedical tech experience can be entry level – 6 months but must be open to travel 2 weeks out of the month to Central and North Texas hospital locations. Visit to each hospital required for implementation purpose. Travel will be reimbursed stay depends on hospital size (2 weeks min) This is an entry level position. This position is for IV Pump EPIC integration project and will be required to be onsite at each Baylor Scott & White hospital for up to 4 weeks. When not working on the IV Pump EPIC integration project, biomed work is available to include but not limited to medical equipment preventive maintenance and repairs. Duties: Training is available for all duties. Gather IV pumps for various clinical departments, storage, and equipment rooms within the hospital (must be comfortable moving through a hospital, around patients, doctors, nurses, etc.) Clean IV pumps of sticker residue. IV pumps must be returned clean. Identify IV pumps requiring repairs Simple IV pump repairs Configure IV pump to MedNet Download certificates Download drug libraries Apply scan sticker to the IV pump Test integration to EPIC Return IV pump, clean and fully functional, to clinical departments, storage, and equipment rooms within the hospital Skills needed: Comfortable moving through a hospital, around patients, doctors, nurses, etc. Comfortable speaking with clinicians Basic MS Excel knowledge Basic IS knowledge Must provide own vehicle Communication and flexible is key!
