We are currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the role of a Ball Grid Array Operator.
Role and Responsibilities

Reviews and determines documentation on repair ticket (traveler)
Reviews incoming chip profile to determine details of Chip problems
Analyzes chip performance to assess next steps in repair process
Removes or replaces BGA Chips from board, using BGA repair machine
Removes residue from chips with flux and cleans printed circuit boards (PCB)
Inspects BGA chips using X-ray machine to determine the problem of chip
Inspects BGA chips using microscope to determine the problem of chip
Aligns BGA chips with PCB and surface mount technology (SMT)
Solders BGA chips on PCB
Applies glue (Loctite) surrounding chip pad area
Runs basic tests to ensure proper repair has occurred
testing BGA reflow testing boards, power, video
Learns and uses new processes and procedures for the BGA repair line
Completes repair ticket (Traveler) in computer system to document repair activity
Maintains repair parts inventories and places order for any additional parts needed for repairs
Other duties as assigned by supervisor and manager

Education, Training and Skills

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Previous experience Soldering small parts, BGA experience a plus
1 year of experience assembling /disassembling, testing, trouble shooting and repairing computers
Experience using hand power tools required
Experience using X-ray and microscope, preferred
Must be able to speak, read and write English
Work with close supervision
