Job Description :

Under direction of the Director of Technology, the Application Development Manager is responsible for overseeing database and software application solutions and systems. This includes identifying best applications and practices, managing the application lifecycle (installing, upgrading and repairing) which supports the needs of the students, staff and the Linfield community to live out its mission and purpose.


Installs, maintains, troubleshoots student information systems and related applications
Develops and provides training and technical support to students and staff and parents
Assesses process requirements and analyze structure of work and data
Evaluates and recommends possible solutions to improve efficiency that will support the mission of the school
Collaborates with Director of Technology on the testing and development environment suitable before roll out of new software applications
Develops and documents procedures related to systems and applications
Operates a wide variety of network and computer peripheral equipment
Maintains knowledge of current industry standards and trends
Manages deployment of computers (iPads), textbook database, registration and application training to staff
Manages student information/learning management system (Blackbaud), including faculty and student access
Manages student accounts: MyLinfield, Google, Turnitin, IXL, online textbook access, etc.
Supports the HR department with new employees, status changes and terminations
Other duties as assigned



Display competency with administrative and instructional applications of technology
Demonstrate a working knowledge of computer hardware & software components and peripherals
Possess the ability to implement new technologies
Troubleshoot databases and applications in a highly complex network
Provide technical assistance and train or assist in providing training to users
Work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment and under deadline
Work efficiently with frequent interruptions
Understand and communicate effectively (oral & written) to complex technical matters
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relations with others


Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Business Systems or Computer related field desired


Experience supporting or administering enterprise student information systems preferred
Excellent technical skills with attention to detail
Experience working with diverse learners


Exhibits a public and private, intimate, growing relationship with Jesus Christ
