Burrtec Waste Industries, Inc. is a well established refuse and recycling collection company serving over fifteen municipalities throughout Southern California and employing over 1200 full time employees. We have an Administrative Assistant position opening at our of Corporate offices in Fontana:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, and follow through on issues to insure timely submission.
Compile data for reports and miscellaneous requests using word processing, spreadsheet, or presentation software.
Perform general office duties such as miscellaneous correspondence, filing, phone coverage, copying, scanning, etc.
Interact with internal and external personnel and City staff on a regular basis.
Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Proven experience as an assistant or other relevant administrative support experience.
Must have excellent organizational, prioritization and time management skills and be able to work on several projects simultaneously and take ownership of projects from start to finish; able to multitask, good attention to detail and be able to easily adapt to change.
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
Time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines
Must have a strong work ethic, excellent oral, verbal and written communication skills. Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with senior level management
Ability to work independently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with agencies, consultants, contractors, customers, employees, and vendors
Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a fast paced environment.
Ability to remain flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient, with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
Advanced in Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel (to include pivot tables and graphs), PowerPoint, and Google Apps (Gmail & calendar)
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Ability to operate office equipment such as fax machines, copiers, and phone systems, and use computers for spreadsheet, word processing, and other applications.

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

5+ years experience in an Executive Administrative Assistant position.

PHYSICAL:

Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time – up to 8 hours or more per day.
Ability to perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, computer keyboarding, filing, and calculating
Manual dexterity and vision sufficient to operate a personal computer for long periods of time without experiencing abnormal hand, wrist or eye strain.
Hearing sufficient to understand conversations, both in person and on the telephone.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work area is primarily in an office setting and may have fluorescent lighting and air conditioning.
