Job Description :
The Accounts Receivable Clerk I is responsible for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner by performing accounts receivable and clerical tasks, including, but not limited to timely collection of payments, daily deposits, reconciling numbers, data entry, ensuring process accuracy, email & phone communications.
Perform accounts receivable functions to include:

Review of accounts to assess over limit and credit hold status
Collection of past due accounts
High level account reconciliation to include resolution of charge back and payment disputes
Follow-through and completion of credit application process
Resolution of account discrepancies, including G/L entry and account offset
Identification and escalation of credit risk accounts
Issue demand letters, submit collection claims
Low level negotiation of payment terms
Input and access of data and reports relevant to customer portal
Assist with invoice processing and payment application as needed
Generate statements per assigned schedule
Report preparation
Assist in year-end process
Other duties as assigned
Follow ISO/TL9000 requirements as it pertains to position


Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent detail orientation and organization skills; strong administrative skills, including phone etiquette
Demonstrated ability to build positive partnerships and work collaboratively with cross-functional business teams
Able to prioritize effectively; able to learn quickly and follow detailed instructions
Assertive, self-starter, requiring minimal supervision
Proven exceptional interpersonal skills with demonstrated success in working with and developing cooperative, informative, and constructive relationships with team members at all levels

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITYThis position has no supervisory responsibility
*WORK ENVIRONMENT*This position operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
*PHYSICAL DEMANDS*This is largely a sedentary role; however, some light lifting is required. This would require the ability to lift 10–25-pound box, open box, and bend or stand as necessary.
*POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK*This is a full-time position. Normal business days are Monday through Friday. Work hours will be assigned in advance.
*TRAVEL*No travel is expected for this position

AA Degree preferred
Minimum 3-5 years of Accounts Receivable experience
Applied knowledge of accounting functions and operations
Intermediate to advanced experience using MS Excel, Microsoft Word
Applied knowledge of accounting functions and operations
