Job Description :
Job Summary:

The Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and date entry task for accounting data including accounts payable, billing, and receivables.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Conducts routine data entry for accounting records including time sheets, accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
Creating job set up and customer invoice templates
Collect and organize receipts in manner that they can be easily posted to invoices
Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisor of any discrepancies.
Contact vendors to review bills and discuss discrepancies
Basic reconciliation of data and accounts
Distributes accounting reports as directed.
May assist with filing, mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Ability to enter data accurately and efficiently into computer software and systems.
Basic mathematical skills.
Good verbal communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Past accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
